Barbara and Jesse's art deco wedding invitations

We had such a blast working with Barbara on her Art Deco-inspired wedding invitation suite.  Gold and gray color palettes, reply postcards, and hand calligraphy accents have all been huge hits this year, and we love how they all came together in this one-of-a-kind set.  Our favorite part?  The champagne gold foil-stamped envelope liner (photos just can't capture how incredible it is!). barbara-1

Vanessa and Erick's elegant damask wedding invitations

We adored working with Vanessa on her elegant gold foil and charcoal wedding invitations.  For her country club wedding, she chose a classic look with a fresh twist.  Her invitations feature letterpress printing on thick cotton paper with a stunning gold foil edge, paired with a charcoal damask envelope liner. vanessa-1

Christy and Phil's Romantic Wedding Invitations

Christy and her mother were so lovely to work with - and we can't get enough of the stunning letterpress invitations we created for her romantic Jacksonville wedding.  They chose champagne gold foil for the delicate border and desert ink for the text, and paired the set with a soft, metallic white gold envelope liner.  Christy even brought us a thoughtful gift after the wedding (check out our Instagram to see!). classic-soft-wedding-invitation-3

Be inspired: Miami Skyline

We are wrapping up this busy but amazing week with an inspiration post based on our very own gorgeous Miami skyline, inspired by a photo from the incredible Maggie Stolzberg.  We kept this wedding invitation design soft with dusty neutrals, and added just a hint of deep blue to the edge. Invitation of the Day: Violet

Invitation of the day: the Violet design by Haute Papier (available here at The Windmill) is the perfect combination of blush pink, pewter, and ivory - these colors have been so popular with upcoming spring weddings!  Love the design but not the colors?  Everything is totally customizable! haute-3

Be inspired: Sunrise Celebration

This week's inspiration comes again from Todd Good, in the form of a cherry red and sky blue beachfront photo that had us thinking of lots of fun embellishments.  We chose a simple font to accompany the flag motifs, inspired by the lifeguard tower, and love the idea of incorporating two red ribbons and a custom hang tag (shaped like the tower in the photo!).  There's no doubt in our minds that we would print this through our vendor Dauphine Press, and pair it with taupe edge paint, a sky blue envelope, and a taupe patterned liner. 2014.06.13

Be inspired: Bright & Rustic

Can you believe it's Friday already?  For this week's inspiration, we used a gorgeous, bright barnyard photo from Vicki and Danny of Starfish Studios.  To go along with the fun rustic save the date design we created, we're thinking marigold edge painting and a matching marigold envelope with a bronze liner.2014.06.06 [Photo credit: Starfish Studios.]
