What to expect

The first step: pick a time and date that works for you, and make an appointment to come in.  Done?  Congratulations!  The hard part is out of the way - we'll take it from here.

When you come in for your consultation, we'll ask you to tell us everything about your wedding, event, or custom stationery ideas.  We love to hear as much as possible about your venue, colors, flowers, style and vision for the event.  Once we have a good understanding of your style, and the look and feel of the event you're planning, we'll start by pulling some designs we feel go along with your vision.  As we look at samples, you'll tell us what you like and what you don't.  We'll talk design ideas, papers, printing methods, addressing, and the little details that make your set unique.

Our vast array of customization options leads to highly variable pricing.  While we are adept at working with a variety of budgets (and can happily offer ideas on reducing the overall cost of your set without compromising the look), we've found that a suite of 100 letterpress and/or foil-stamped invitations, reply cards, and envelopes typically range from $1800-$4800.   Flat printing is also available as a budget-friendly alternative: 100 flat-printed invitations, reply cards, and envelopes typically range from $1000-$2500.

Once you're feeling confident with the selections you've made and you're ready to move forward, we take a 50% deposit, go through your wording with you (we are etiquette experts!), and get to work designing!  You'll receive an emailed proof within 4 business days (or a little longer, if your set includes hand calligraphy accents or custom design).  You're welcome to make any changes to the design that you'd like to see.  We'll keep revising until everything is perfect - and we're always here to offer our guidance and expertise!  Once you're ready to approve your set for print, we'll collect the balance on the order and send your order to production.  Turnaround varies between printers and printing methods, but typically your set will arrive at the shop within 2-4 weeks.  We'll let you know when it's ready to be picked up, or if you choose, we can assemble and mail out your set for you.
