We're heading to NYC for the annual National Stationery Show to find fresh new cards and designs to bring to South Florida! Our studio will be closed from Sunday, May 17 - Monday, May 25. South Florida has been under a perpetual rain cloud this week, but we're finding inspiration in the stormy grays and blues of the sky. Amidst our daydreams of sunscreen and splashing in the ocean, we also dreamed up this custom invitation design, with inspiration from a gorgeous ring photo by the amazing (and Florida-based!) Vitalic Photo. We are loving the soft pink edge and thinking blind letterpress for the subtle scallop patterned background - how pretty!

This week's inspiration comes again from Todd Good, in the form of a cherry red and sky blue beachfront photo that had us thinking of lots of fun embellishments. We chose a simple font to accompany the flag motifs, inspired by the lifeguard tower, and love the idea of incorporating two red ribbons and a custom hang tag (shaped like the tower in the photo!). There's no doubt in our minds that we would print this through our vendor Dauphine Press, and pair it with taupe edge paint, a sky blue envelope, and a taupe patterned liner.

Can you believe it's Friday already? For this week's inspiration, we used a gorgeous, bright barnyard photo from Vicki and Danny of Starfish Studios. To go along with the fun rustic save the date design we created, we're thinking marigold edge painting and a matching marigold envelope with a bronze liner.

Happy Friday! This week we dreamed up this totally custom letterpress wedding invitation design based on the vintage floral (or as my husband pointed out, vintage floor-al) pattern from this photo by local photographer Todd Good. We think this design would be gorgeous letterpress printed on ultra-thick cotton paper through our vendor Bella Figura, with a mustard edge and a metallic bronze envelope liner.

Today, we're starting a new series of inspiration posts to get the creativity flowing! Thanks to SoFlo photographer Chris Kruger for the gorgeous inspiration photos featured today. We envision this design printed through one of our favorite vendors, Smock, with silver foil for the lettering over the digitally printed watercolor. Add an apricot edge and a pumpkin pie envelope liner for an extra pop of color!

26 shelves, 3 tables, 4 bookcases, over 100 concrete anchors, and countless [can we talk about impossible?] Ikea instruction booklets later, we can finally say that our store furniture is completely installed! We decided on black and white furnishings against the gray walls - our beautiful papers and cards will bring plenty of color.
Now we are ready to bring in our cards, gift wrap, notebooks, coasters, etc. - as well as our custom albums! Speaking of which, this beautiful events album from Allie Munroe arrived - we cannot wait to share that awesomeness that's inside. Stay tuned!
