Join the fight against bland, boring paper
Sarah Gluchacki is on a mission: to rid the world of cookie-cutter cards, notebooks and tacky giftwrap. Sound silly? There’s a serious side. At Gluchacki’s new Downtown Boca stationery shop, The Windmill Paper Boutique, she sources products only from small design and print shops and works hard to offer environmentally-friendly staples you wouldn’t normally find in chain card shops.
“I strive to support local vendors with eco-friendly practices,” says Gluchacki, who opened The Windmill after a stint as the lead graphic designer for a wedding invitation company. “I do my best to provide the freshest patterns, hues, and designs available – products that are not only useful, but beautiful as well.”
In her shop, every item is hand-crafted on natural papers made of materials like cotton and bamboo. Gluchacki specializes in custom invitations and stationery, but also carries a full stock of ready-to-buy paper goods like patterned notebooks, customized gift wrap and note cards.
“We’re all about utilizing bold patterns, bright colors, and classy, fun, cheeky designs from famous designers,” Gluchacki says. “These aren’t your typical convenience store cards.”

We are so grateful to everyone who came out and celebrated our grand opening with us this past weekend! It was amazingly successful, and we are so appreciative of the community support for our boutique. We are located in a small pathway with a few shops just off of East Palmetto Park Road.
From A1A, take Palmetto to NE Mizner Boulevard. Turn right, then left on East Boca Raton Road. There will be a parking lot on your left before you reach Sanborn Square. Park here and walk down the alleyway - we will be just inside on your right!
From Federal, take Palmetto to NE Mizner Boulevard. Turn left, then left on East Boca Raton Road. There will be a parking lot on your left before you reach Sanborn Square. Park here and walk down the alleyway - we will be just inside on your right!
If you are instead able to find parking on Palmetto, look for the Palm Lounge and go down the alleyway to the right. We will be about halfway down on your left!
Lots of exciting updates today... starting with our brand new business cards! We love the stunning black letterpress, luxurious double-thick cotton paper - and check out how gorgeous this edge painting looks! We can't wait to start handing these out!
We also received the hang tags for our packaging from a great Etsy seller. The 100% recycled PCW paper for the tags was special ordered to go along with our eco-friendly bags and tissue paper. We hand stamped our logo on 500 of these!
And the best part... we've started putting our products up on the shelves! Here's a sneak peak!
26 shelves, 3 tables, 4 bookcases, over 100 concrete anchors, and countless [can we talk about impossible?] Ikea instruction booklets later, we can finally say that our store furniture is completely installed! We decided on black and white furnishings against the gray walls - our beautiful papers and cards will bring plenty of color.
Now we are ready to bring in our cards, gift wrap, notebooks, coasters, etc. - as well as our custom albums! Speaking of which, this beautiful events album from Allie Munroe arrived - we cannot wait to share that awesomeness that's inside. Stay tuned!
We've installed most of our signs, completed our construction work, and finished painting the walls (despite the five straight days of work, deciding on a color was by far the hardest part!). With a huge thanks to Ikea and their amazing selection, we've started installing shelving! As you've seen, our custom albums have started arriving, and preprinted cards and other paper items will be coming in shortly as well.
Stay tuned for our grand opening date, as well as specials and events we'll be hosting in honor of the opening. We're hard at work transforming our empty store space into a chic boutique filled with must-have paper items (foil-stamped cards! monogrammed notebooks! neon gift wrap!).
