Now that the holidays are over and we're settling into 2015, we can finally share these beautiful holiday cards! These unique holiday cards were silkscreened with white ink on frosted transparent plastic, and paired with a metallic silver envelope (printed for us by Allie Munroe).
Patrick's mother Carla came to us looking to print invitations and thank you cards for his baptism. She brought in a beautiful pattern-based custom design, and chose navy ink on shimmer paper stock. The set was completed with navy envelope liners, and printed for us by Page Stationery. Happy baptism day, Patrick!
We are SO excited to be sharing this news: Shinola and Woodchuck journals are now in stock!
Shinola is a Detroit-based company with a commitment to beautiful design, quality craftsmanship, and American manufacturing. They create a variety of American-made products, many of which are made at their factories in Detroit. We're huge fans of their philosophy and ethics, and we're proud to be introducing Shinola's journals to Boca Raton. We have both hard linen and soft linen journals in small, medium, and large, all in a variety of colors and interior pages. They're made using all US-sourced materials from sustainably-managed forests.
Our must-have item from Shinola is The Runwell Planner - a thoughtfully designed weekly planner with a black hard linen cover and a lay-flat binding.
And now for Woodchuck!
Woodchuck is based in Minneapolis, and part of their mission is very similar to Shinola's - to bring jobs back to America, and to bring quality products back to consumers. What sets their products apart is that they are made with beautiful, sustainably-sourced, FSC-certified real wood. Each journal is created with wood from a single tree - we have Birch, Cedar, Walnut, Mahogany, and Rosewood (our favorite!), in both classic and pocket sizes. Each wooden cover is individually selected for unique grain and quality. The interior pages (which come blank or lined) are 100% recycled.
Woodchuck and Shinola are currently only available in-store, not in our online shop. Stop in to see them - or give us a call and we're happy to ship them to you!
Robert Parisi of Parisi Events picked up his business cards less than 15 minutes ago, but we can't wait another second to share them!! These ultra-thick cards feature gold foil stamping on amethyst paper, duplexed to white 100% cotton paper with amethyst and black letterpress inks - completed with metallic gold edge paint. Rob chose a unique square shape for his business cards - and these will definitely leave an impression on everyone who receives one.
Parisi Events is a wedding, mitzvah, birthday, and party entertainment company from Jupiter. We love them because of the care they put into every event, and their dedication to making each client's event special and unique. If you're in need of a DJ, lighting, entertainment or planning services, definitely check them out at www.parisievents.com.
Happy wedding weekend to Charlette & Robert and Tracey & Justin! We created everything from save the dates to programs and favor tags for Charlette's wedding. Their wedding stationery suite was totally custom designed by us here at The Windmill, and printed by Page Stationery. Our favorite piece is their save the date, which includes a timeline of their relationship - we just adore this idea!
Tracey and Justin had a destination wedding in Longboat Key, Florida, so they wanted to incorporate a beachside feel to their invitations while still keeping them very elegant. They chose gold foil for their invitations and gold letterpress for the rest of the pieces, printed on cotton paper by Haute Papier. We love how each piece of their invitation suite included a bit of their monogram in some way.
Happy wedding weekend to Monica & Guido and Christina & Nolan! Monica and Guido came to us with an idea for their wedding invitations, and we created a custom text-based design for them. It was foil stamped in Champagne on white cotton paper (with a reply card in Gold letterpress), printed by Haute Papier.
Christina and Nolan had this amazing idea for ceremony programs that fold into paper airplanes, for their adventure-themed wedding. We designed a compass-based wedding logo for their day-of pieces, along with matching table cards, a photo booth sign, and a seating chart.
We are in LOVE with the brand new custom holiday designs we have in the shop! Letterpress, foil, photo printing, edge paint, envelope liners, and more... these are not your typical holiday cards. Swing by anytime to see all of the designs and options, or make an appointment to discuss your cards one-on-one. Plus, order Smock holiday cards by December 10th and they'll rush your order at no extra cost!
We are back from an amazing trip to Maine and around New York State, and we cannot wait to share some photos we received while we were out of town! Gillian and her mother came to us with a vision of letterpress, lace and elegance. They chose one of our Bella Figura designs (letterpress and foil stamped on gorgeous, thick 100% cotton paper), and customized the layout, fonts, and colors to create the perfect invitation for their Fort Lauderdale beachside wedding. Check out the photos below by the incredible Lena Isely.
